Gloria M. Cory VISTA, California -- Gloria Marie Cory, 68, of Vista, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2014, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Burial will take place in Illinois City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 3 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2014, at the funeral home. Gloria was born on November 17, 1945, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Omer S. and Dorothy M. Weikert Howard. On January 28, 1963, Gloria was united in marriage to Leelon Luther Cory in Muscatine. She owned and operated Wedding Boutique in Carlsbad, California, and had also worked as a librarian at a Christian school in Carlsbad. Gloria will be deeply missed by her husband, Leelon Cory of Oceanside, California; her children, Terry (Crystal) Cory of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Christopher (Bic) Cory of Escondido, California, and Suzanne (Tom) Caprio of Clearwater, Florida; six grandchildren, Eon Cory of Escondido, California, Cara Cory of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Everette (Bethany) Stewart of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Ernest (Danielle) Stewart...[more]
