Herard Longchamp

Herard Longchamp, 78, of Pembroke Pines, Florida and Brooklyn, New York passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Memorial Regional Hospital following a lengthily illness. He was born in Gonaives, Haiti on June 30, 1935, son of Eutiche and Lorbite Longchamp. Raised in Haiti, Mr. Longchamp came to the United States in 1960 settling in Brooklyn. Mr. Longchamp was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and worked very hard all his life to provide for them. He was very proud of his family and country. Before his retirement, Mr. Longchamp worked for more than 30 years for General Motors, both in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Gisele (LeConte) Longchamp, one son, Herard Conard Longchamp, six daughters, Yolaine, Jocelyn, Nanette and her husband Alex Ritchie, Mary Judith, Gisele and Melissa, grandchildren, Dashka, Reginald and Clichard Benjamin, Jany Magier, Isaac Ritchie, Tarod, Yona and Nya Longchamp. Also survived by his sisters and brothers, Antonine, Vonette, Devers, Emmanuel, Marie Joceline and Daniel.
