As a child, Paul and his family moved to Little Falls, MN and then to the west coast settling in Spokane, WA. Paul served in the United States Army; during WWII in Europe. In 1946, Paul returned to Salem, OR. Paul then moved in 1949 to Carroll. In 1950, Paul was united in marriage to Dorothy Nieland in Breda, IA. The couple established their home in Fort Dodge in 1951. Paul worked for the Gypsum Mill and then Iowa Beef for 22 years before his retirement in 1984. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and the VFW. Also, he was proud to part take in the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. Paul loved his best friend and wife dearly, their family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He had a passion for life that included traveling, restoring cars, riding motorcycles, camping with his family and woodworking. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
