or 17 years, Bible school teacher for 2 years and 5 years on the Altar Guild. Mary was dedicated to the Republican National Party and had been a past member of the Republican Governor's Association. She had received several honors and awards including Task Force Member of the Year, Customer Appreciation Award in 1999, Certificate of Merit in 2002 and in 2004 was nominated Businesswoman of the Year by the Republican National Committee. She enjoyed camping, traveling, movies and dining out. Those left to honor Mary's memory include sisters-in-law, Alverda Beck of Preston, IA, and Rita Wiegert of Bellevue, IA; brothers-in-law, Albert "Junior" Wiegert of Maquoketa, IA, Harold Wiegert of Dubuque, IA, and Eldon (Sandy) Wiegert of Loveland, CO; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church in Maquoketa.
