Dore Keller, 92, of Indianola, formerly of Milo passed away Friday, January 31, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Dore was born on December 28, 1921 to George & Veronica (Schurman) Ripperger in Lacona. She married Paul Keller on December 29, 1942 in rural Milo at Rosemount Church. Dore was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, playing the keyboard, Harmonica and Banjo. She and Paul enjoyed attending music jams in Humeston, Woodburn and Williamson. Dore was a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church.
Survivors include her two grandsons: Allan & David Keller of Indianola, three great grandchildren: Kierstin, Trinity and Jayden Keller all of Indianola and a brother, Norbert Ripperger of Indianola. Preceding her is her husband Paul Keller, sisters Coletta Hoch, Bernice Huerter, Regina Hoch, brothers, Gervase Ripperger, Vincent Ripperger and Herman Ripperger, her parents, George & Veronica (Schurman) Ripperger, son, Charles Keller and great granddaughter, Riley Keller.
Funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 3, 2014 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Milo. Interment will be in Rosemount Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Memori...[more]
