Bernice M. Stimmel MOSCOW, Iowa--Bernice M. Stimmel, 89, of Moscow, joined her husband, Bill, in heaven, on Monday, February 3, 2014, at Simpson Memorial Home, West Liberty. Joint Funeral Service for Bernice and Bill will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2014, at the United Methodist Church in Wilton. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Denkman, Gary McCormick, Leo Ochiltree, Pat White, Alex Stimmel and Evan Stimmel. Burial will take place in Oakdale Cemetery in Wilton. Visitation for Bernice and Bill will be held from 9 until 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2014, at the Church. The Bentley Funeral Home Wilton is in charge of the arrangements.Memorial donations may be made to Simpson Memorial Home or Iowa City Hospice in her memory. Bernice was born August 22, 1924, in Muscatine, the daughter of Charles and Fern Karnes Lincoln. Bernice married William D. Stimmel on November 17, 1946, in Iowa City. He preceded her in death on January 28, 2014. Bernice enjoyed playing cards and dominos. She enjoyed visiting with her friends and family.
