rmed up to someone he loved playing practical jokes on them. Eldon enjoyed tinkering in the garage in his spare time. There wasn't anything he couldn't fix with a little duct tape. Eldon enjoyed many things in his life; the two things that brought him the most joy were his grandchildren and was looking forward to meeting his great grandson. Eldon will be missed dearly by his friends and family. Survivors include his wife Sue of Melcher-Dallas, two children: Tanya Jones of Knoxville, Brent (Dana) South of Knoxville, two grandchildren: Breanne South (Rick Montgomery) of Knoxville, Delaynee South of Knoxville and a great grandson that will be here in March. He is also survived by two siblings: Delores Heckathorn of West Des Moines and George (Dixie) South of Rogers, Arkansas and his father-in-law Norman Ridinger of Creston. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Debra Sue, son-in-law, Dennis Jones and his parents. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 10, 2014 at Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas with Rev. Jeff Flagg officiating. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas. Memorials may be given to HCI-Knoxville or Melcher-Dallas Fire & Rescue.
