Marjorie A. Westerfelt MUSCATINE, Iowa--Marjorie Ann Westerfelt, 78, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2014, at her home in Muscatine. Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2014, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Marjorie's name. Marjorie was born on January 24, 1936, in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Bartlett Alexander and Hazel L. McLean Derrick. On October 14, 1967, Marjorie was united in marriage to Lafe Robert "Bob" Westerfelt, Sr. in Muscatine. Marjorie retired from GPC after 44 years of service. She had attended Grace Lutheran Church and enjoyed working, coin collecting and watching Wheel of Fortune. Marjorie will be missed by her husband, Lafe Robert "Bob" Westerfelt, Sr. of Muscatine; and son, Lafe Robert Westerfelt, Jr. also of Muscatine. She was preceded in death by her parents.[more]
