Billy Wayne Herweh

Billy W. Herweh Sr., age 65 of Prairie City, died Monday, February 10, 2014, at his home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, with burial following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. Memorials may be directed to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com. The son of Jack L. and Maxine (Raney) Herweh, Billy was born on January 8, 1949, in Des Moines. He graduated from East High School in Des Moines. Billy served in the United States Army from 1969 - 1971. On December 27, 1985, he was united in marriage to Erin B. Lemons at the Prairie City Church of the Brethren.
