Barbara Joan Mangus

Mangus, Barbara Joan, 79, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, passed away Friday, February 22, 2014 at Holy Cross Hospital. She was born December 31, 1934 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to Thomas and Freda Florence (Gaumer) Bryant. She was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church and a retired registered nurse from Baptist Hospital in Miami. She is survived by daughters: Kimberly Anne (Emad) Mikhail of Painesville, Ohio, and Lora (Michael) Fossler of Fort Lauderdale; sister: Evelyn Faye Balzanna of York, Pennsylvania; grandchildren: Thomas Michael Fossler, Kaitlyn Anne Fossler, Josef Azmy Mikhail, and Karema Barbara Mikhail. She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Lorraine Hershey. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 5-9pm, with a Trisagion service at 5pm. Funeral services will be Monday, February 24, 2014 at 12pm at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Lauderdale. [more]
