James L. "Jamie" Yarolem, 48, of Baldwin, Iowa, died on Sunday evening, March 2, 2014, at his mother's home in rural Baldwin, Iowa.
Friends and family may gather for "One Last Party"® in remembrance of Jamie on Thursday, March 6, 2014, from 5 to 7 P.M. in "The Bistro" at the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at a later date.
James Lee Yarolem was born on March 22, 1965 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Robert and Connie (Currie) Yarolem. He was a 1983 graduate of Maquoketa Community High School and then served in the Army National Guard for six years.
James was a self-employed carpenter working for several area contractors. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, target practice and drinking with his buddies. He especially enjoyed fishing for Catfish and Walleyes, and he loved cooking with chili being a family favorite.
