Norman Robert Flaherty ST. ANN, Missouri -- Norman Robert Flaherty, 66, of St. Ann, Missouri, formerly of Taylor Ridge, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014. Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at The Runge Mortuary in Davenport. Private burial will take place in Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2014, at the mortuary. Norman was born on November 10, 1947 in Moline, Illinois; the son of Donald and Joan Thompson Flaherty. He proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was united in marriage to Sharon Ann Specht on February 25, 1983. He had been employed as a warehouse manager for KDR.
