guided, mothered and helped countless students receive an education. She lived to help the students and she was exceptional at doing so. Through the years Deb received numerous awards and recognition at the state level for her work of being a strong advocate for improving and promoting education. Additionally, Deb had taught college courses and recently had worked as a grant writer. She retired in 2012. Deb was a member of First Lutheran Church in Maquoketa. She was a lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan and loved bacon. Those left to honor Deb's memory include her husband Gary Carson of Dubuque, IA; sons Bradley Carson and David Carson, both of Dubuque, IA; brothers, Al (Jeri) Moore of DeWitt, IA, Mark (Chris) Cleveland of DeWitt, IA, Brian (Kim) Moore of Bellevue, IA, Eric (Glee) Moore of Canton, IL, and Thomas (Barb) Barton of Dubuque, IA; and sisters, Dee Runge of DeWitt, IA, Gayla (Al) Earles of Maquoketa, IA, and Sheryl (Jay) Carter of Davenport, IA; and many loving nieces and nephews.
