Angelica Durdunas Libonati

Angelica (Durdunas) Libonati, 91, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida formerly of Hollywood, Florida died on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Manor Oaks Nursing Home following failing health. Born in Peabody, Massachusetts on February 8, 1923, Mrs. Libonati was the daughter of John and Nicoletta (Perotes) Durdunas. She and her family moved to New York City where she was raised. In 1985, Angelica moved to South Florida settling in Hollywood, Florida and attended St. George Greek Orthodox Church. As a single mother, she worked very hard to raise her six children, to whom she was devoted. Angelica loved to dance and in later years she attended dances at the Polish-American Club which she enjoyed very much. Survived by three of her six children and spouses, Ginger Libonati and her partner, Laura Grasso, Jimmy Libonati and his partner, Mike Barrett, Julius Libonati and his wife, Marge Libonati, grandchildren, Mindy Rosenthal, Dennis Pettersson, Eric Pettersson, Michael Pettersson, Augustyn Arbuzow, Alex Arbuzow, Juliann Libonati Lowerre, David Libonati, Nicole Libonati Rodemeyer, Lisa Libonati and Gerard Libonati, and her brother, James Durdunas. at grandchildren She was preceded in death by a daughter, Madeline Pettersson, two sons, John G. Libonati and Gerard Libonati as well as her husband Jerry Libonati. Visitation on Wednesday from 6:00 ~ 8:00 P.M. at Fred Hunter's Hollywood Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street in Hollywood. Funeral Service on Thursday, March 20th at 10 A.M. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 425 North 58th Avenue, Hollywood. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will follow at Hollywood Memorial Garden Cemetery North.
