Fred D. Pursley

Fred D. Pursley, age 91, of Lebanon, Ohio, died Wednesday March 19, 2014 at Hospice of Butler-Warren Counties. He was born in Franklin, Ohio on March 21, 1922 to Hubert and Nancy (Leonard) Pursley. Fred was involved in the Farm Bureau for 65 years, taught school at Franklin High School in Industrial Arts, and Franklin Optimist and Lions Clubs. He was employed with Nationwide Insurance for 30 years and retired in 1984. He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Pursley, mother, Nancy Pursley, his wife Virginia Pursley. Fred is survived by his 18 nieces and nephews and 17 great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 1:00 pm Monday March 24, 2014 at Anderson Funeral Homes, 1357 East Second Street, Franklin, Ohio with Reverend Gary Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Otterbein Home and Monday, March 24,2014 12:00pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
