Viola Martha Benson, 81, of Las Vegas, passed away March 25, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born Viola Martha Moller in Jeffers, Minnesota on July 22, 1932 to Erick and Ella Moller. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Erwin H. Moller, her cherished husband, Russell L. Benson and her only son Gary M. Benson. She is survived by her three daughters Gwen Lesch (husband Richard), Trudy Lara (husband Steve) and Linda Dawson (husband David), three grandchildren Jeanette Ruiz (husband Eddie), Anthony Lara (wife Michelle) and Fischer Rodriguez (wife Starr) and five great grandchildren, Russell Lara, Aaron Lara, Cassidy Lara and Eddie Ruiz III and Dayrl Ruiz. Viola was a nurse for over 30 years and loved her profession. She was a fiercely independent woman and loved to travel. Her hobbies were gardening, cooking and she was a voracious reader. She loved her family very much. She will be missed by all of her family and friends.[more]
