Velma Faye Strong, age 79, beloved sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully onThursday April 3, 2014 at Hospice of Butler-Warren Counties. She was born in Jackson, Kentucky on November 30, 1934 to Thomas and Dale (Lawson) Strong. She joins in Heaven her parents, sisters, Maude, Ruth, Jean, and brother, Tommy. Velma Faye was a 1957 graduate of the Kentucky School for the Deaf in Danville, KY. She was a resident of Franklin Ridge Nursing Home. Velma Faye loved people and her kindness and affection brought joy to all she met.Velma is survived by her four sisters, Delcia (Hugh) Gambill, Joish (Charles) Spencer, Norma (David) Strong, Vicky (Wayne) Lackey; 8 nieces and nephews, 13 great nieces and nephews, 11 great great nieces and nephews, 1 great great great niece. Her family would like to thank Middletown Atrium ICU's unit and Hospice of Dayton, who went above and beyond to make Velma Faye and her family comfortable. Funeral services are 12:00 pm Thursday April 10, 2014 at Anderson Funeral Homes, 1357 East Second Street, Franklin, Ohio with Dr. Roger Green officiating.
