the charitable organizations that were especially dear to her. Mom continued to pursue her lifelong passion for learning by taking weekly classes at Adat Ari El. After macular degeneration robbed her of her vision, she continued to avidly follow current events and marvel at the advances in technology that have occurred since she first worked on an early computer in the 1940's. Dorothy derived her greatest pleasure from sharing her love of tradition, music, and learning with her family. For decades, Mom and Dad hosted Passover Seders and Thanksgiving dinners for their extended family and countless friends. Since the birth of her great-grandchildren, Mom looked forward to our weekly Monday family gatherings that were filled with laughter, music, food, and love. Mom passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, in the home she had lived in for 62 years. We will celebrate her long and beautiful life on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Mt. Sinai Hollywood Hills. In lieu of flowers, you can honor Dorothy's memory with donations to Tamar Ami Hadassah or to the Disney Family Cancer Center Fund in the Providence St. Joseph Foundation, 501 S. Buena Vista, Burbank, CA 91505.
