She was active in the Arnolds Park Friends Church and in Racine's Faith United Methodist Church and volunteered for the Girl Scouts, the PTA, St. Luke's Women's Auxiliary, and the Opti-Mrs. branch of Racine's Wednesday Optimist Club. Summers in Okoboji gave her joy to the end, especially when her grandchildren visited. Lillian is survived by her children, Camille Smith (Forrest Forque), Dennis Smith (Jane), Candace Smith, and Marla Smith (Doug Conciatu); former son-in-law, Gregg Zurawski; grandchildren, Lindsey Smith, Christopher Smith, Emily Smith-Zurawski, and Nicholas Smith-Zurawski; and cousins Wayne Anderson (Loana), Dick Anderson (Gail) and James Delk (Grace). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara Audlehelm (William); brother, Ardeth Anderson (Barbara); and brothers- and sisters-in-law Byron Smith (Stella), Maynard Smith (Margaret), Byrnard Smith (Dorothy); and Marvelyn Furry (Leroy). Funeral services for Lillian will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Schuchert Funeral Home in Spirit Lake, with Rev. Sarah Rohret officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Saturday from 1 p.m. Interment will take place at the Okoboji Cemetery in Arnolds Park.
