DAVID STROMER SR. FAIRPORT, Iowa - David Eugene Stromer Sr., 66, of Fairport, died on Friday, April 25, 2014, at Trinity Hospital-Muscatine. Celebration of Life Service will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at the New Hope United Methodist Church. Burial will take place in Columbus City Cemetery following a luncheon at church. Reverend David Morris will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2014, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. David was born on October 5, 1947, in Muscatine, the son of Kenneth and Dorothy Preston Stromer. He was united in marriage to Louise Hurlbut, July 21, 1990, in Muscatine. He went to Zion Lutheran School. He cut grass at Greenwood Cemetery and also worked at R J Dick Co. He drove truck most of his life. He enjoyed deer hunting. He enjoyed telling stories and jokes. He loved spending time with his family and dog and especially loved kids. Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Louise of Fairport; one son, David E.
