Arlington Roxby, Jr., age 79 of Toms River died on Wednesday April 30, 2014 at Holiday Care Center, Berkeley Township. Born in Plains, PA, he lived in New Jersey since 1942.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Roxby was a Truck Driver for over 45 years, most recently for Red Star Trucking. He was a Member of the Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 560, Union City.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Patricia; his parents, Arlington and Alice Roxby; and a brother, George.
Surviving are his wife, Jacklyn; a daughter, Allison Webb; a son, Alan Roxby; his step-children, James, Jennifer, Jerry and Julie Reed and Jolie Johnson; his sisters, Elizabeth Hayes, Alice Rodriguez, and Margaret Ann Flesch; and two grandchildren.
Cremation will be private. A memorial gathering and service will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 1-3 pm at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Van Dyke Hospice would be appreciated.
