Evelyn E. MacDougall, age 95, passed away on December 30, 2013 in Pasadena, California (formerly of Windom, Minnesota).
Evelyn was born to Ida and John Murphy on December 14, 1918 in Luverne, Minnesota. She graduated from Windom High School in 1939 and worked for Dr. Moore in Windom before moving to Minneapolis in 1943.
Evelyn moved to California and soon after her sister Lucille joined her. Evelyn married Ian MacDougall and they settled in Pasadena. After Ian's death, Lucille moved back in with Evelyn.
Evelyn was a lab technician at Huntington Hospital, Pasadena. Over the years she met many celebrities - her favorite was Bob Hope.
Evelyn enjoyed traveling - especially to Hawaii, by 2003 she had visited 14 times. She never missed the annual "Minnesota Reunion" held in Sun City, Arizona. She also enjoyed attending the annual Rose Bowl Parade - just two blocks from her home.
She is survived by nephews, Richard Murphy, Jr. (Susan) and Patrick Murphy and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Lucille Gwynn and three brothers: Lewellyn Murphy, Robert Murphy and Richard Murphy.
