Barbara Jean Hess DAVENPORT, Iowa--Barbara Jean Hess, 81, of Davenport, died on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the Rock Island Nursing and Rehab Center, Rock Island, Illinois. Graveside Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport. Barbara was born on March 6, 1933, in Muscatine, the daughter of Jack Luellen and Vera Negus Luellen. She lived in Muscatine for many years prior to moving to Davenport. She worked many years as a nurse at Davenport Osteopathic Hospital and for private physicians as well. Barbara married James Donald Wilson on June 9, 1951, in Muscatine. They had three children from this union: Vicki Kay Archer, Michael Stephen Wilson, and Louis Alan Wilson. They were divorced in 1972. She later married Wayne Arthur Hess. He passed away May 11, 1992. Barb is survived by a daughter, Vicki Archer and husband, Stan, of Grimes; a son, Louie Wilson of Ogden, Utah; four grandchildren, Spencer Johnson, Sumner Johnson, Megan Wilson and Alex Wilson; two great-grandsons, Chandler Johnson and Brenton Johnson; and two brothers, Jim Luellen of Muscatine; and John Luellen.
