Robert G. Bloeser, 90, of Green Bay, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 with family at his side. Robert was born on February 27, 1924 in Belle Plaine, Iowa son to the late George and Alpha (Rigdon) Bloeser. Robert attended school in Antigo, Wisconsin through his junior year when his family moved to Winona, Minnesota, where he graduated in 1943. He then entered the Army Air Force/Corps in 1943, where he served as a photographer for three years. After discharge in 1946, he returned to Winona, where he earned his pilot's license under the G.I. Bill. He combined his photography and flying skills, and worked free-lance for some time. He spent the next four years learning the machinist trade on the Chicago & North Western Railroad at Winona. On June 17, 1950 he married Wilma "Billie" Bard of Antigo, Wisconsin. They had three children, Jeffrey, Kristen and Elizabeth. In 1950 Robert was transferred to Green Bay where he served the railroad for 43 years, retiring in May of 1985. Robert was a member of local Lodge #501, International Association of Machinists. Theodore Roosevelt Lodge #322 Free and Accepted Masons. He was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Green Bay, where he served as an elder and Scout Master over the years. Robert was a member of the Veterans Association of the Chicago & North Western Railroad and the Green Bay Camera Club. Robert enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, skiing, and photography. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Wilma "Billie"; a son, Jeffrey (Cynthia) Bloeser of Sturgeon Bay; two daughters, Kristen (James) McKeever of Antigo and Elizabeth (Robert) Derezinski of Stevens Point and his five grandchildren, Andy and Alex Bloeser, Jesse and Matt McKeever and Ashley Derezinski. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Bloeser. Friends and family will gather Friday, May 23, 2014 from 3:00 pm until 4:30 pm at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue. The funeral service will take place at 4:30pm with the Rev.
