Elsie M. Kelly

Elsie M. Kelly, age 95, of Island Heights, NJ died peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2014 at her daughter's home in Katy, TX. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Mrs. Kelly was a longtime resident of the Toms River area. A member of St. Joseph RC Church, she was a former member of the Rosary Altar Society. Prior to retiring in 1980, she was a cook in the St. Joseph High School cafeteria for over 25 years. Mrs. Kelly was predeceased by her husband, Henry J. Kelly, Sr., in 2004, and her son, Michael in 2001. Surviving are her children, Regina Spangler of Katy, TX and Henry J. Kelly Jr. and his wife Christine of Island Heights; and grandchildren, Michael, Michelle, Kevin, Jill, Brian, Mark, Christine and Karen. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9am on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at St. Joseph RC Church, Toms River. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. [more]
