Patricia "Patsy" Ann Robinson Staub McGoon, 83, of Burlington passed away at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. Patricia was born on November 2, 1930 in Burlington, Iowa to Dorella Kay Weicher Robinson and B.L. Robinson. Patricia was a strong woman of God and prided herself on raising her six children. She loved to crochet, knit and craft. She enjoyed singing, entertaining and playing Bridge. You could often find her volunteering down at the Port of Burlington and working the polls was one of her favorite pastimes. Patricia greatly treasured her community, friends and family. She is survived by her children, John Staub and his wife, Mary, Joseph Staub and his wife, Joan, Jeff Staub and his wife, Kim, Steve Staub, Kathryn McGoon Kuhne and her husband, Chris, and James McGoon and his wife Gerri. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and siblings, Joyce Adamson and Mary Lee Houser. She is preceded in death by Leo Staub, James McGoon and her parents. The Rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Sunday, June 8th, at Lunning Chapel after which the family will receive friends until 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 9th, at St. John's Catholic Church. Father Marty Goetz will be the celebrant. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. A memorial has been established for St. Jude Children's Hospital.
