Jules Gasper Gillgod Holmes

On the beautiful and sunny day of April 11th, 1970, Glen and Cynthia Holmes were blessed with the birth of a bouncing baby boy. They named him Jules Gaspar Gillgod Holmes. From birth, Jules showed early characteristics of having a brilliant and intelligent mind. He received early education at Xavier's Lower School and went on to receive high school education at St. Augustine's College Nassau, Bahamas. Jules found his passion at a very early age and upon graduation in 1987, he decided to seek tertiary education at Florida International University in Miami, Florida. There he achieved a bachelor's degree in Information Technology. Jules also attended various schools such as Broward Community College and Sheridan Vocational Technical Center where he excelled and obtained certification in various areas in this field. Jules being the fun, loving, intelligent and debonair man that he was, won the heart of Darchelle Johnson. And on the 16th of May 1998 took her as his wife. This union was blessed with one child Duran Holmes. Jules was a loving and wonderful husband, provider, protector and father. Jules was a dedicated, and hardworking individual and was gainfully employed at Merck Sharpe and Dohme Latin American Division. He loved his job and it lead him to visit many countries around the world, where he found his love for all the different cultures he experienced and this became his second passion. Jules enjoyed Martial arts and obtained a 3rd degree black belt in Shodokan. In his spare time, he loved playing video games with his son for hours on end, and watching Anime. When he was not in his zone with his son, he would go fishing or playing dominos with his friends. Jules was enthusiastic, energetic, and was always full of life. Due to circumstances beyond control, Merck's Latin American Division relocated to another country. During this free time he was actively involved in Holy Sacrament Episcopal Church. A short time after, he found his new home with Chen Medical as their Senior Communications Engineer. Here he met many people who became really good friends while doing what he loved. Jules was loved wherever he went. He was a mentor to many and an impressionist to most. Unfortunately Jules became ill and had a brief stay in the hospital in April. A short time after he was readmitted to the hospital in mid-May, where he remained his usual charming self and managed to charm even the staff in a short stay. Jules succumbed to his illness and went on to meet his Maker on the 3rd day of June, 2014 at 2pm surrounded by the loving glow of his family and close friends.
