important thing in the world to her. She instilled that belief in her children and grandchildren. The first and last thing she expected when seeing her family was a hug and kiss. Loretta loved to have family gatherings and enjoyed having family dinners. There was not a school activity she did not attend for her children and when possible for the grandchildren. And of all the life lessons, Larry and Loretta were inseparable; they showed their family how to love. She always had an Easter basket and Christmas stocking for every family member. She also made sure her children went to church on time, well behaved, and dressed appropriately. Loretta had a very strong Faith. She loved music and played the piano and accordion and played with the children's church choir. Loretta loved the outdoors, going mushroom hunting and fishing. She loved the beauty of Colorado and the mountains in Estes Park. She was a huge sports fan and an avid Hawkeye fan, never missing a game. She made sure everyone had the Hawkeye colors even if they weren't a fan. Loretta was a great cook and enjoyed gardening and canning. Loretta passed away June 5, 2014 surrounded by her family at her home after battling cancer. Preceding Loretta in death were her parents, Valentin "Bill" and Wanda Theresa Obirek Kauzlarich and her brother, Joseph E. Kauzlarich.
