Timothy H. LaMaster

Mr. Timothy H. "Tim" LaMaster, 71, of North Vernon, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Born January 7, 1943, in Seymour, IN, he was the son of Walter and Virginia (Hedden) LaMaster. In 1999 in Gatlinburg, TN, he married Jewell L. Sowers LaMaster who survives. Tim was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was a 1961 graduate of Seymour High School. After 42 years of service he retired from Cummins where he worked in Purchasing. Tim was an U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the VFW 1925, American Legion 89. He enjoyed NASCAR and attending the Seymour Oktoberfest. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Schaan LaMaster, Shannon (Gina) LaMaster, Jolene (Josh) LaMaster Lynch, stepson, Matthew Sowers, 5 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, brothers, Mike (Sharon) LaMasters, Toby (Cheryl) LaMaster, Jim (Sue) LaMaster, and sister, Melissa (Duane) Shelton. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, and step granddaughter, Rachel Dukes. A memorial service will be held At Voss Chapel on Friday May 16, 2014 at 7:00 PM with Rev. e time of service. Graveside services will be Saturday May 17, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Mr. LaMaster will be buried at ImmanuelLutheranCemetery, 325 Vehslage Road, Seymour, by his first wife Ruth Moenning. There will be full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour. Memorials may be written to the Alzheimer's Association or Our Hospice of Greensburg. All arrangements have been entrusted to Voss & Sons Funeral Service and Tri-County Crematory, Seymour, IN.
