Barbara Louise Kardux

Barbara L. Kardux MUSCATINE, Iowa--Barbara Louise Kardux of Muscatine, passed peacefully to be with our Lord on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Premier Estates, formally known as Carrington Place, at the age of 99, just 27 days shy of her 100th birthday. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at the Faith Chapel Church, over the Muscatine bridge two miles on Hwy 92 East at the corner of the New Boston Blacktop. Barbara's wish was to donate her remains to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements. Barbara Louise Slade was born on July 8, 1914, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Leon L. and Fannie May Van Fleet Slade. On June 23, 1934, Barbara was united in marriage to Walter J. Kardux in Grand Rapids.
