Renee Devine

Renee Suzanne Devine, age 56, passed peacefully, June 11, 2014 surrounded by her family. A gathering of friends and family will be from 3:00- 6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 15th at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way, Ames. A funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 16th at St. Cecilia Catholic Church 2900 Hoover Avenue, Ames. Renee was born December 13, 1957 to parents Clarence and Joan(Lemke) Hrubes in Britt, Iowa. She attended Garner Hayfield High School, graduating in 1976. She later attended UNI. In January of 1977, Renee and Thomas married in Duncan, Iowa. She and Thomas raised 3 children together. For 19 years, Renee worked as a Driver's License Examiner at the Iowa Department of Transportation. She enjoyed baking for the hospice house, sewing, gardening, and loving her 7 grandchildren.
