Annette Ardelle Carbis

A time to celebrate the life of Annette A. Carbis will be held Saturday, June 21, 2014 between the hours of 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Senior Dining Center in Tipton. You are encouraged to join family and friends for a time of sharing memories with food and fellowship throughout. Annette died Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Unity Point Hospital, Cedar Rapids from failing health. Through a vision of helping medical research, she donated her body to the University of Iowa. Annette was born on June 21, 1938 in LaSalle, Illinois and was the daughter of Richard Carbis and Pearl Orzechowski. She attended school in LaSalle, Illinois and then graduated Barber College and worked over 30 years as a licensed barber and beautician in the Cedar Rapids community. While Annette lived in Cedar Rapids, she attended St. Jude's Church. She moved to Tipton and found herself involved in the Tipton Dining Center. Annette enjoyed playing cards and bingo as well as socializing with her many friends that she met here in Tipton.
