Marc R. Wedner

Marc R. Wedner, 76, of Valley Villlage, California, died on June 19, 2014 following a lengthy illness. He was the only son of Sylvia and Marcus Wedner. Funeral services will be held at 9:00am on Sunday, June 22 at Mount Sinai Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills. Marc was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended Shady Side Academy and Haverford College. He married Pamela Gordon and moved to California in 1961 after the birth of their daughter. He lived in the San Fernando Valley for 53 years and worked at several aerospace, technology, and telecommunications firms around Southern California. A proud workaholic, he also avidly pursued his passions for equity waiver theater, Bebop jazz, WWII history, and the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. He is survived by his daughter Melissa Wedner Roeder and son-in-law Gil Roeder and his son Marcus Wedner and daughter-in-law Anne Wedner. lvia Martha Wedner. He was uncle to Alex Segal, Justin Segal, Joshua Segal, and Erica Bootchk and brother-in-law to Valerie Lee. He was great-uncle to 8 nieces and nephews. Marc was preceded in death by his wife Pamela. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Shady Side Academy in Pittsburgh, PA.
