In true Martin style, he quickly met new friends and rarely missed his daily "coffee time" with them where he could catch up on the latest happenings. Surrounded by family, Martin passed away on July 4, 2014 at the Comfort House in Pella, Iowa at the age of 92. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Edward, Irvin, Maurice, Cecelia Dahlhauser and Jean Gepken. He is survived by his wife Dorothy and his son Gary (Karen) of Pella, IA; three sisters-in-law Ruth Nelson, Elsie Eischen and Ione Kenne; and many nieces and nephews.
