maintained a weekly schedule of calling each of his children, friends, and family. Bill enjoyed Bible studies and taught adult Sunday school class for seventeen years at First Baptist Church in Sheffield. Until his eyesight failed in his late eighties, he was an avid reader of newspapers, magazines, western novels and was a fan of John Wayne movies. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen of sixty-three years, five brothers, Raymond, Hans, Lawrence, Irving and Norman, five sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. Bill is survived by his children, Cynthia (David) Weinberger of Bettendorf, Lawrence (Diane) Jorgensen of Augusta, Wisconsin, Sarah (Keith) Walz of Knoxville, Elaine (Gary) Kanter of Hudson, Ladonna (Dale) Kruckenberg of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Amy Jorgensen of California and Stacy (Rich) Jensen of Mason City, seventeen grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law Emma Jorgensen of Withee, Wisconsin, along with twenty-two nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at the Coulter Cemetery in Coulter, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton.
