Frank J. Herek

Frank J. Herek, age 75, of Green Bay, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2014. He was born on April 26, 1939 in Stevens Point to the late Alois and Susan (Ksioncz) Herek. Frank married Marilyn Zurawski in Stevens Point on June 11, 1960. He drove truck for 35 years and retired for the final time in 2010. He was an accident free driver for more than 3 million miles! Frank enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening, bowling and playing cards. He especially loved spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He and Marilyn travelled extensively. Frank was a charter member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and was an usher and hospitality greeter. Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, Marilyn; three children, Sherri Lynn (Jay) Stache of Green Bay, Jeff Anthony (Ginny) Herek of Bloomington, Illinois, Jean Marie (James) Nero of Green Bay; nine grandchildren, Nicole, Jayson, Adam, Noah Stache, Steven, Matt, Julie Herek, Nicholas and Amanda Nero; three great-grandchildren, Shania, Tiana and Laila; a brother, Norbert (Rose) Herek of Suamico and a sister, Janet (Leroy) Schultz of Stevens Point. ar friends. Frank was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sue Marie and a sister, Dorothy Herek. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2771 Oakwood Drive, from 4:00 pm until the prayer service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, July 18, 2014 at the church from 9:30 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am with Rev. Paul Demuth officiating.
