Mary Frances Davis

Mary Davis, 94, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Plymouth Place Senior Living in LaGrange Park, IL. No services are planned. Mary Frances Hill, daughter of James and Lila Neel Hill was born May 22, 1920 in Webster City. She graduated from Stanhope High School in 1938 and received an Associates degree from Webster City Junior College in 1940. She taught country school for a short time before marrying Marvin Earl Davis on December 26, 1941. The couple farmed in rural Stanhope until 1963. They then moved to Boone, where they resided until 1994. She is survived by a son, Dr. Brian (Laura) Davis of San Antonio, TX; three daughters, Diane (Harley) Stipp of LaGrange, IL; Frances (Robert) Sapp of Urbandale, IA: and Jeanine Graham of Palatine, IL; brother, W. Gene (Kathryn) Hill of Ankeny; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Neel Franklin Hill and James Kenneth Hill II; and son-in-law James Graham.
