in Fort Dodge. He attended schools here. Following his education he enlisted with the U.S. Navy serving from 1946 to 1947. He was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Shangri-La. On June 13, 1949, he was united in marriage to Elsie Mae Buckley at St. Paul Lutheran Church and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. From 1951 until he retired in 1980 Bill worked at Hormel's Packing Plant. He enjoyed playing cards, especially "500" and playing bingo with his friends at the Villa Care Center. Bill was lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
