Etta Dena Kuiper, 91, of Allison, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at the Rehabilitation Center of Allison in Allison, Iowa. She was born on August 14, 1922, in Stout, Iowa, to George and Tena (Boelman) De Groot. Etta attended country schools in rural Stout, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Herman Henry Kuiper on December 15, 1944, at the Stout Reformed Parsonage in Stout, Iowa. Etta was a homemaker. She was a member of the Trinity Reformed Church in Allison, where she was active in ladies groups. Etta enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, fishing, baking, playing cards and going for walks. She is survived by her son Roger Kuiper of Allison, son Ray and wife Judy Kuiper of Lewiston, Minnesota, six grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. Etta was preceded in death by her parents George and Tena, husband Herman, son Ronald, brother Lewis De Groot and sister-in-law Katie De Groot.
Burial will take place in the Allison Cemetery.[more]
