Maria G. Arango MUSCATINE, Iowa--Maria Guadalupe Arango, 93, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014, at All American Care in Muscatine. Graveside Service will be held at 12:00 Noon, on Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 12:00 Noon with an 11:30 a.m. Rosary Prayer Service on Thursday, July 31, 2014, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Maria's name. Maria was born on December 12, 1920, in Durango, Mexico, the daughter of Apolonio and Tiburcia (Esquivel) Juarez. In 1944, Maria was united in marriage to Jose Cruz Arango. Maria enjoys doing housework, cooking, baking, making clothes, walking, reading, singing, helping others and donating blood. Maria was always a very happy person. Maria will be deeply missed by her two children, Francisco Arango and wife, Graciela, of St. Tan Valley, Arizona, and Maria Martinez and husband, Jesus, of Muscatine; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Manuel; and a son in-law, Manuel Corona.[more]
