Garnet Mae Coberley, 88, of Morning Sun and New London, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at Sunrise Terrace in Winfield.
Born April 23, 1926, in Mount Union, she was the daughter of Leland Earl and Laura Walker Bozarth. On July 5, 1944, she married Kenneth Juil Coberley in Pleasant Grove. He died Feb. 5, 1995.
Mrs. Coberley was a homemaker. She graduated from Mount Union High School, and was a member of Yarmouth Baptist Church. She enjoyed canning, gardening and especially, reading her Bible and being with her family.
Survivors include two sons, Craig Coberley of Henderson, Ky., and Doug Coberley of Kissimmee, Fla.; three daughters, Sherry Miller of Valpariso, Ind., Terry Reid of Round Lake, Ill., and Juil Heying of Morning Sun; one sister, Ann Levins of Burlington; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, her parents, four sisters and five brothers.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Chapel in New London, where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
