Viola Tornillo

Viola J. Tornillo, age 88, of the Silver Ridge Park North section of Berkeley Township died on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at The Arbors Care Center, Manchester. Born in Amsterdam, New York, she grew up in Orange, NJ and lived in Upper Montclair before settling in Silver Ridge Park North in 2000. Mrs. Tornillo retired from Montclair Savings Bank in Upper Montclair as an Assistant Vice President in 1986. She was a member of the Upper Montclair Woman's Club, and Bowling Leagues in the Upper Montclair area. Mrs. Tornillo was predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Angelina Capodiferro, and her sisters, Louise Arleo, Frances Montesion, and Josephine Spero. She is survived by her husband, Thomas; her children, Jayne Millman and her husband Christopher, and her son Thomas and his wife Kristine; four grandchildren, Cheryl Hutzel, Caryn Cimino, and Samantha and Michael Tornillo; her great-grandchildren Charles, Nathan, Angelina and Adrianna Rose (on-the-way); and her sister, Theresa Sorge of Whitehouse Station. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 4-7 pm at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. Cremation will be private. [more]
