Sharon Kim (Hershey) DeYounge, 70, of Hampton, Iowa passed away Saturday August 23, 2014, at the Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton, Iowa. She was born October 6, 1943, in Hampton, Iowa, to Elmer and Nita (Pfaltzgraff) Hershey. Sharon was married on April 27, 1979, to Dennis DeYounge in Hampton, Iowa. She worked for many years at B&W Grocery Store and Pamida in Hampton. Sharon enjoyed crocheting, watching movies, going on trips to the casino, spending time with her cat Whiskers, cross stitching and visiting with family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Tawnia (Phil) Kakacek of Solon, daughter Rose Kirkbride of Hampton, step son Perry (Brenda) DeYounge of Hampton, step daughter Pam DeYounge of Orange City, grandchildren Jason (Auri) Kakacek, John Kakacek, Andria Kakacek, Amanda Geerdes, Steven Geerdes, Levi DeYounge and Joel DeYounge, brother Neil (Dorothy) Hershey of Mason City, sister-in-law Jan Hershey of Hampton, brother-in-law David (Bev) DeYounge of Sioux Center, sister-in-law Mary Ann (George) Arends of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, sister-in-law Marliss (Brent) Vander Zwaag of Sioux Center.
