Joined his beloved wife, Sweet Lorraine (nee Gumpert) on September 5, 2014, at the age of 91. Dear father of Madalyn (Ronald) Drobac, Dr. Daphne (the late Peter) Flamer, Dr. James (Therese) Panagis, Constance (Mark) Johnson, Kathleen (the late Jeff) Whaling, Robert (Jean) Panagis and Peter (Dori) Panagis. Proud grandfather of 24: Dr. Stephanie (Christopher), Melanie (Donald), Dr. Peter (Neo), Daniel (Alice), Michael (Jessica), Andrew, David, Anthony (Victoria), Christina, James, Jr., John, William, Thomas, Erica, Danielle, Joshua, Emily, Andrea (Jon), Melissa, Allison, Kimberly, Timothy, Katherine and Christopher. Loving great-grandfather of 7: Nicholas, Andrew, Madalyn, Lincoln, Anele, Maxwell and Charlotte. Dear brother of Peter (Marian) Panagis, the late Carol (the late Edgar) Bostian, the late William (the late Marie) Panagis. Also loved by countless other relatives and friends. Connie ("Doc") began his extensive medical career as a Captain in the US Army Medical Corp during the Korean War. During this time, he developed numerous innovative health programs, designed and implemented community public health plans, and worked with public health agencies throughout the state. In 1988, Connie turned toward health care consulting and simultaneously served as head of the Student Health Center at UW-Milwaukee. Throughout his career he served as president of the Wisconsin Public Health Association, was a member of the American Public Health Association, served on the board of directors of the US Conference of Local Health Officers and was involved with many other community and public health organizations. Visitation at the Funeral Home, Thursday, September 11, 4:00-8:00 PM. Trisagion 7:00 PM. Visitation also at ANNUNCIATION GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH, 9400 West Congress Street, Friday, 11:00-11:30 AM. Funeral Service 11:30 AM, the Rev. Father Leo Gavrilos officiating. Burial Wisconsin Memorial Park.
