Ethel Matilda Clarke 84, passed away on Monday September 8, 2014 after a prolonged illness.
She was raised in Montserrat and migrated to London, England in the early fifties for a number of years, before returning to Montserrat and finally taking up residence in Miami, Florida.
Ethel enjoyed, swimming, baking, traveling and gardening and took great pride in herself taught accomplishment of playing the guitar. Ethel was a religious person and loved to read the Bible and would make biblical quotes as she thought necessary.
She is survived by her husband John in Montserrat, a sister Beth and brother Sewell in Birmingham, England as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends throughout the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and the Caribbean; six children, Enid, Verna, David (Isilda), Mabel, Allan (Cynthia) in Florida and Dawne in Boston; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Donna, Charmaine, Irene, Tyrone, Jaret, Devon, Tiffany and Tyrell; six great grandchildren, Niki, Shaina, Alicia, Ethan, Lea, Evans; two great-great grandchild, Alex & Kylee. Ethel will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
