Irene Dobbins

Sadie "Irene" Dobbins, 68, of Rock Island, Illinois, died on Saturday morning, September 13, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. A celebration of Irene's life will be held at 11 A.M., Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at the Heritage Wesleyan Church in Rock Island, Illinois. A private entombment will be held at the Greenview Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum, Rock Island, Illinois. Sadie Irene Wininger was born on July 1, 1946 in Oolitic, Indiana to Edwin and Sadie (Redling) Wininger. She grew up in Clarion, Iowa and graduated from Clarion High School in 1964. Irene's husband Daniel W. "Pat" Dobbins preceded her in death on August 18, 2008. Irene became involved in managing properties while married to Pat and was an active member of the Heritage Wesleyan Church in Rock Island. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, dancing, and spending time with her family and friends. Her strong faith and uncomplaining nature were two of her most endearing qualities.
