His children describe him as patient and easy going, instilling strong values of Faith and family. He was adventurous and liked trying new things and had a strong interest in flying, jumping at the chance to ride in an ultra-light airplane, and going for a ride over the farm in a single engine plane, and going para-sailing at nearly 80 years old. His grandchildren remember driving lessons on the farm, and how fun he was always making time to play board games or getting his hair styled.
