s while visiting famiy in Long Lake, Lake Delavan and Pine Lake. Tim was always happiest standing on the edge of a dock with a fishing pole in his hand or helping one of his daughers reel in a "lunch size" fish. He enjoyed the outdoors, cutting firewood, building fires, riding four-wheelers and tractors and his hobby of shooting guns, as well as riding his motorcycle or surfing a wave behind a boat. Tim enlisted in the 46th Military Police Company, Michigan Army National Guard, as a health care specialist on April 17, 2001. On December 7, 2003, he began a 15-month deployment in Iraq as an emergency care sergeant with Co B 118th Medical Battalion. In 2007, Tim served in support of Operation Jump Start in Arizona and in 2008 completed an overseas training rotation to Italy. Tim provided counterdrug support to the Wisconsin Army National Guard from October 2008 to September 2009. Open October 1, 2009, he became a liaison for Wisconsin's Wounded Warrior Transition Program in the National Guard's Health Systems Services. Tim became the Wisconsin's Suicide Preventive Case Manager on 1 December 2011. On 3 June 2013, he joined the Active Guard Reserve program as the Training Non-Commissioned Officer for the 135th Medical Company. Tim served the National Guard with unparalleled honor and dedication for more than 13 years. He has earned numerous awards throughout the years honoring his dedication to his country and fellow soldiers Tim was a friend to so many, unfailingly lending a hand in whatever way he could, being an empathetic listener, and going out of his way to help others. He was humble and never one to give himself credit for simply being a good person, treating others with an uncommon kindness. He was old-fashioned in many of his values, placing the most importance on being with his family, providing for them and giving back in whatever way he could. His final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him until the day we are reunited in heaven. Visitation will be held at The War Memorial Building, 750 Lincoln Memorial Drive, Milwaukee, WI on Monday, September 22 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 225 South Hartwell Avenue, Waukesha WI on Tuesday, September 23 at 11:00 AM. Interment at Long Lake Cemetery Wednesday, September 24 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family to be used for Tim's girls education appreciated. A special thank you to the NICU staff at Froedert hospital and numerous family and friends who have helped us through this tragedy, especially Tom and Sue Touchett, Don Grundy and Cara Butterfield.
