Doris I. Fevold, 92, formerly of Badger, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014, in Belview, Minnesota. A service honoring Doris' life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, at Badger Lutheran Church in Badger with the Rev. Darryl Landsverk officiating. Interment will be in the Blossom Hill Cemetery. The visitation is Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fort Dodge. Memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family. Doris is survived by her daughter Shirley Pingel, Echo, MN; her grandchildren, Jon Pingel Jr., James Pingel, Jason Pingel and Julie Pingel; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and her sisters, Florence Lindner, Odebolt and Georgia Knudson, Badger. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Mervin, two brothers, William and Lloyd, five sisters, Myrtle Dueker, Sylvia Donner, Hazel Babbit, Ethel Baker and Loretta Georg and her son-in-law Jon. ysville, Missouri. During the war years Doris worked for Rodenborn, Lang and Brody where she manufactured clothing for members of the armed services. She later worked in the Badger school cafeteria for 23 years and was food service manager for the Fort Dodge Community Schools until her retirement in 1981. Doris was a very active member of Badger Lutheran Church. She enjoyed being involved with women's groups, serving as a Sunday school teacher and as a league advisor. She was a member of the Sons of Norway. Doris lived in the Badger area until moving with her husband to Parkview Nursing Home, Belview, Minnesota in 2007. She was involved in the many aspects of Parkview life.
