MADISON - Jim Vavra, born on July 3, 1947 in Hinsdale, IL to James and Elsie Vavra, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014. Jim is survived by his wife Georgiana, son Jamie, daughters Vanessa and Liz and five grandchildren. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 S. Owen Dr, Madison at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 10 followed by a Memorial Mass at 12 noon. He is remembered as a loving, kind-hearted and generous man, whose appreciation for nature and all things beautiful was surpassed only by his ability to care for the same.
